WhatsApp will have the Function Wanted by the WHOLE World

WhatApp will have a new function wanted by everyone, it being discovered in Android and going to allow editing of pictures with photo filters.

WhatsApp has in advanced testing a new function that everyone has been waiting for for more than a year, it already appearing in the beta version of the application for Android. In the image below you can see how this new function of the WhatsApp application looks like, it will allow us to apply photo filters over the pictures we have recorded, or that we record directly using the text messaging application.

WhatsApp had this function available for a very short time in the beta version of the application for Android and it seems that Facebook tries hard to expand its functionality. WhatsApp practically takes over a function that is very popular not only in the Facebook application, but also in the Instagram or Snapchat applications, and a lot of people have wanted for some time to be able to have the functionality available.

WhatsApp will initially only have a series of photo filters available, these can be applied over photos as easily as any other filters that are available in other applications. Practically, the system would be very similar to that of Instagram, an application also owned by Facebook, so the integration of the technology in the WhatsApp application should be as simple as possible on iPhone and Android.

WhatsApp will have the filters available through a swipe gesture that can be performed from the bottom up above the pictures before sending them. In iOS 11, Apple implemented something similar in the Photos application for editing photos, but in WhatsApp everything happens directly in the application and in a completely different menu, the idea itself not being as intuitive as it should be.

WhatsApp will have photo filters that have proven to be popular in other applications that the company Facebook has launched so far in global markets, so we are not talking about something 100% new. It was also logical to see in WhatsApp photo filters that people use in other applications, because it is difficult to create functions of this kind, and if you already have popular ones, there is no point in destroying them if it is not necessary.

WhatsApp currently has this function tested in beta versions of the application for Android, so it is not known when it will reach the public version. However, considering the way in which the new functions for the WhatsApp application are tested, we can expect that this year the filters will make their way into the public version of the application in a future update.
