iPhone 8 Increases Profits for Apple Partners

iPhone 8 brought increased revenue for Apple's partners thanks to the orders for components, but also the assembly of the new smartphones.

iPhone 8 is in full production, together with the iPhone 7S, and this means that their components were manufactured a few weeks ago and are still in production. Since the manufacturing process of iPhone 8 and iPhone 7S is at "maximum speed", the partners of the Apple company report serious earnings thanks to all the components they have delivered so far.

The iPhone 8 is assembled by Foxconn, which reported revenues of $10.62 billion for Q2 2017, lower than in Q1 2017, but higher than in Q2 2016. This is perfectly normal, because it only started working for Apple in June, the last month of the quarter, so the iPhone 8 had an impact on the receipts, but for now it is not colossal, as it will happen in the following months.

iPhone 8 has the new A11 chip manufactured by TSMC, the production of this component starting in June, and the company has already announced an increase in revenue. TSMC is one of the most important partners of the Apple company, and in its case the receipts were announced a few weeks ago, increasing by approximately 10% compared to the same period last year, the iPhone 8 seriously contributing to this.

The iPhone 8 has components produced by dozens of companies, in one form or another of the manufacturing process, in 19 of those monitored, revenue increases were recorded. From TPK Holding to Pegatron, the new iPhone 8 and iPhone 7S managed to bring substantial income for Asian companies that depend on products of this kind to survive in an area with many competitors.

iPhone 8 generally generates increases in the value of Apple's partner companies through fluctuations in the value of shares sold on the stock market. Every rumor, good or bad, about the iPhone 8 affects in one way or another, including Apple's partners, and recently it was seen how Foxconn's share price increased by over 10% after it was announced that production for the new smartphone had begun.

"Taiwan's major tech companies all reported revenue increases in July, the eighth consecutive month of rises, as the Apple suppliers benefited from strong sales of iPads and Macbooks as well as recognizing sales from components for the new iPhone. Nine Apple suppliers on the NAR's watchlist together generated 9.7% more revenue in July than a year ago, with five of them posting double-digit growth from the year-ago period."

The iPhone 8 will take billions upon billions of dollars from the accounts of the Apple company before it actually reaches the stores, but it will generate 3-4 times more after it is launched. The iPhone 8 practically falls into the normal category of Apple smartphones, from this point of view, because exactly the same thing happens every year both for those from Cupertino and for the American partners.

iPhone 8 will be presented in September, the launch being scheduled by Apple in the same month.
