HomePod – How Easy it Will Be to Set Up the Speaker

HomePod has been in the center of attention for several weeks, because Apple published the operating system for the smart speaker, and with its help we discovered many of the novelties iPhone 8. Basically, we could say that Apple intentionally disclosed the secrets of the iPhone 8 through the operating system of the HomePod in order to draw attention to both the phone and the smart speaker that will be launched in December.

HomePod returns to our attention today thanks to a new discovery made in iOS beta 11 7 , but this time not about the iPhone 8. This time we are talking about an image that shows us how the HomePod smart speaker can be paired with an iPhone to play music, the process itself being as easy as the one that offered by Apple for last year's AirPods.

HomePod - here's how easy it will be to set up the smart speaker

HomePod has an iPhone connection interface designed in an extremely similar way to that of the interface offered for AirPods headphones. Siri must be used in almost the entire status process of the HomePod smart speaker, the personal assistant reciting a security code that must be entered into the iPhone for connection, the last 4 digits of the serial number of the HomePod speaker can be used.

HomePod will require interconnection with iCloud through an Apple ID, and users must use a WPA/WPA2 network to be able to set up the smart speaker. The Siri accent will also be able to be chosen for the HomePod, and users will have the option to send diagnostic data to Apple on a daily basis, although it will probably do this anyway without us knowing, but the smart speaker is one of Apple's most anticipated products.

"According to some images that we find in the internal files of the system, the pairing of the HomePod (codename B238) will be very similar to the AirPods wireless headphones. When you turn on the sound box for the first time, iOS will ask the user if they want to perform the setup with that iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. It will not be possible to set up a HomePod for Mac or Apple TV - although it is very likely that the device will work normally with them later."
