iPhone X – Many Defective Units Manufactured

iPhone X has many defective units manufactured by Foxconn, the problem being huge for those in Cupertino at the moment, without a quick solution.

iPhone X has a lot of defective units manufactured by the Foxconn company, the rate of unusable units coming off the finished production line is extremely high at the moment. According to American analysts, only 10% of the iPhone X phones manufactured by Foxconn would be well enough assembled to be put on sale, the percentage being an extremely small one for any kind of product.

The iPhone X would have this information regarding the production rate of the phones revealed by a source close to the Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),, or most likely directly from Foxconn. We knew that the iPhone X has very big problems with production, but what we are finding out now tells us that Apple actually has more than a simple problem, and the people from Foxconn have to solve it because they do the assembly for the new iPhone X.

The iPhone X was initially delayed due to the fact that it was new TrueDepth camera it cannot be produced in sufficiently large quantities as the Apple company needs. Those at Foxconn started production for the iPhone X late because of this, and now they can't make the phones fast enough as Apple needs, such a low rate for the production of defect-free units being a huge problem.

iPhone X – many defective units manufactured

iPhone X has a production rate of usable units that is at least 4-5 times lower than what it should normally be and what it was for old models. Normally, at least 5-7 of the new iPhones assembled by Foxconn should be good enough to be put on sale, but now we are talking about 1 in 10 iPhone X phones that can be put on sale by Apple.

iPhone X Units Defects 1

iPhone X was produced in several tens of thousands of units daily two weeks ago, but now it is possible that this production rate will be reduced even more than that. Think that if only 1 out of 10 iPhone X assembled is good enough to be sold, how difficult will it be to produce the number necessary to cover the current demand on the market, which will increase in the future.

The iPhone X is the most difficult phone to produce for the Apple company and perhaps for Foxconn, the TrueDepth camera being just one of the problematic components. With so many problems ahead, analysts say that Apple could postpone the delivery of the first million units of the iPhone X for December, something quite easy to believe considering the way things are presented at the moment.
