Google Buys Apple in the Fake News of the Day

Google buy Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), with 9 billion dollars is the fake news of the day that was propagated by Dow Jones, one of the publications with financial information followed by analysts all over the world, the incident proving, once again, that no one is perfect.

Dow Jones published some news today in which they announced that Google is buying Apple for 9 billion dollars and that the employees of Mountain View will move to the new "luxury" headquarters that the Apple company built in Cupertino, the Google employees receiving 9 Apple shares each.

The fake news was available for 2 minutes within Dow Jones, one of them even saying that Steve Jobs would have written in his will that his former company should be sold to Google, so we are talking about a few employees who had a good time writing the news, they should remain only drafts in the publication's servers.

Having said that, Google won't buy Apple anytime soon, or maybe ever, but Dow Jones employees certainly had fun seeing the published headlines and the reactions of their colleagues in the press.
