Mac sales continue to decline in Q3 2017

Mac sales continue to decline in Q3 2017, according to information from companies specialized in monitoring global computer sales. PC sales fell 3.6% in Q3 2017 compared to Q3 2016, reaching 67 million units from 69.5 million units, marking the 12th fiscal quarter in which PC sales have continued to decline.

In the USA, the largest decrease in sales was recorded, of 10%, nullifying any kind of small increases in any other areas of the planet, so that explains why the sales of Macs continued to decrease. Mac sales decreased by over 200.000 units compared to Q3 2016, or 5.6%, and this means several hundred million dollars that Apple did not collect in this segment.

Globally, HP and Lenovo are the leaders, with sales estimated at 14.5 million and 14.3 million units respectively, the differences between the two companies being insignificant. Those from Dell occupy the third position with a little over 10 million units, while Apple occupies the fourth position with 4.6 million units, and on the 5th place we find those from ASUS with 4.3 million units, the difference being quite of small between companies.

Apple didn't have such a good Q3 in terms of Mac sales, but considering that the winter holiday season is approaching, it's clear that things will improve.
