iPhone X – the last iPhone with Camera Outside the Case?

The iPhone X could be the last model of the iPhone that has the camera taken out of the case, Apple buying a company that has a technology that allows this.

The iPhone X could be the last model of the iPhone with the camera coming out of the case, Apple buying a company that specialized in the development of very thin cameras for mobile phones. InVisage Technologies is this company, the technologies developed by it may allow the launch of future iPhone models that no longer have the camera protruding outside the case, something that iPhone fans have been dreaming of since 2014.

InVisage has developed a technology called QuantumFilm Image Sensor, the great novelty brought by this technology is that it allows the implementation of small image sensors in mobile phones. Although the dimensions of these image sensors are small, the light captured by them is at least as much as in the case of a standard image sensor in a camera for a premium mobile phone.

iPhone X – the last iPhone with a camera outside the case?

iPhone X was criticized by some people because of the fact that it still has the camera out of the case, but the Apple company did not care too much about this and praised its qualities. This Apple phone model could still be the last with such a design feature, if the Americans manage to integrate InVisage technologies quickly enough in the models to be launched in 2018.

"QuantumFilm is a photosensitive layer that relies on InVisage's newly invented class of materials to absorb light; specifically, the new material is made up of quantum dots, nanoparticles that can be dispersed to form a grid once they are synthesized. Just like paint, this dispersion of solid materials can be coated onto a substrate and allowed to dry."

Apple could also offer a higher resolution for the cameras of future iPhone models, but of course no one is talking about this for now. InVisage has very interesting and very useful technologies for mobile phones, but from the acquisition to their integration in new products is a very long way, and Apple will not make everything so easy for us.
