Instagram – 3 Major Functions Tested on iPhone and Android

Instagram is currently testing a series of new functions that users have been waiting for for several years on iPhone and Android.

Instagram is preparing some major surprises for users all over the world, the company behind the famous social media platform is testing some changes that no one expects anymore. The first of them is a button called Regram, allowing the sharing of content published by the people we follow or find.

Basically, Instagram wants to offer a button similar to the retweet button available for Twitter, users being able to share content published by other people on their own accounts. Currently this is not possible in a simple formula, it being necessary to download the content in advance in our accounts before it is published in the account.

The second important change that Instagram is preparing is the option to use animated GIF images in the stories that we publish daily, but from a predefined database. You can see in the video clip below how this option looks like, the company Instagram necessarily allows the use of any type of gif images.

Practically, this function only allows the use of simple images, but it is very possible that in the future the functionality will be extended for other types of gif images.

Instagram also intends to allow the archiving of stories published by us, this change being a major one for the company that did not want to offer such functions. Practically, the stories that until now disappeared a day after publication will be archived by us so that they can be revisited at a later date.

It is not yet known when all these new changes will be available for the Instagram application, but most likely it won't be long until we see them.
