All three iPhone models that will be launched in 2018 will have larger batteries than the ones integrated in the current models, and since Apple amazes every year with larger or smaller capacity batteries, this is a surprise. The new battery in the shape of the letter L, integrated in iPhone X, will make its way to arrive including in the iPhone X Plus and most likely iPhone SE 2.

iPhone X already has a battery in the shape of the letter L, with 2716 mAh, but next year this will increase to 2900-3000 mAh in the model that Apple is currently developing. The increase is 10% compared to the current model, and for the iPhone X Plus we can expect the battery to exceed the value of 3000 mAh, if Apple really wants to amaze its customers with a much better autonomy.
"Two new 2H18 iPhone models could adopt L-shaped battery (6.5" & 5.8" OLED models), with upgraded capacity for all models. In order to extend battery life, we believe it is necessary to expand battery capacity because all three new 2H18 models will be equipped with TrueDepth Camera, which consumes more power. iPhone SE 2 will remain with a rectangular battery, because it must be even cheaper, but it will have a higher capacity than the one in the current American models. It is not clear what capacity the battery in the iPhone SE 2 will reach, but it will probably exceed 2000 mAh, the one in the current models being far below this value, the autonomy not being really great.
Apple will launch 3 new iPhone models in 2018, one with a 5.8-inch screen, another with a 6.5-inch screen and a third with a 6.1-inch screen.
