Data traffic of Apple, Google, Facebook, Microsoft was stolen by a Russian company

The Internet traffic of Apple, Google, Microsoft and Facebook was intercepted by the Russians for 2 hours, a lot of data being stolen by them.

Internet traffic with data transferred by Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),, Google, Facebook, Microsoft was rerouted the other day through the servers of a Russian company that was apparently inactive until the incident. We are talking about an intentional takeover of the data traffic of Apple, Google, Facebook, Microsoft by the servers of this company without any prior warning and without any explanation being offered for it.

Practically, for 2 hours, the information transmitted from and to the servers of Apple, Google, Facebook, Microsoft passed through the servers of a Russian company, several TB of data being taken over by it. Everything comes as a surprise now, although in August something similar happened with other companies, but we are now talking about 4 of the most famous IT companies on the planet, whose internet traffic was stolen.

We are talking here about anything that their users would have sent to them, from passwords, money transfers, confidential information, pictures and many, many others, everything being theoretically encrypted between servers. Theoretically, the Russians could have saved the data without being able to decrypt it, but considering that nothing is safe nowadays, it is possible that they could access the data.

"Traffic sent to and from Google, Facebook, Apple, and Microsoft was briefly routed through a previously unknown Russian Internet provider Wednesday under circumstances researchers said was suspicious and intentional."

Considering that Russia is in the middle, the truth will not be known too soon, nor what kind of data reached the Russians, blocks of 40-80 IP addresses being affected by this rerouting. Unfortunately, it seems that the Russians have the courage to do almost anything without anyone stopping them, and if new security measures are not imposed, then there is a very high risk that similar incidents will be repeated in the future.
