Last year the Moen company launched U by Moen for users with the possibility to control it from a smartphone using an application, and at CES 2018 it launched an improved version, controlled by Siri and Alexa.
U by Moen can be controlled by Crab and Alexa so that it can be turned on at our command, the temperature can also be set by a simple command, its verification can be done directly from the iPhone. More than that, U by Moen also allows the creation of profiles that we can use when we want to take a hot, warm or cold shower, so a simple voice command allows us to take the perfect shower.
U by Moen simplifies showers by the simple fact that the preparation no longer involves turning on and checking the water temperature for the shower, the simple voice command and opening the application for iPhone giving us the opportunity to do this. Moreover, U by Moen also reduces the unnecessary consumption of water, because when it reaches the desired temperature, it stops automatically until we enter the shower.
Using U by Moen through voice commands with Siri and Alexa is quite complicated for now, but over time things will become simpler as Moen perfects the procedure for turning on the water for showers. U by Moen has prices ranging between 1225 and 2265 dollars, without installation, so the technology itself is not that simple, something that will keep many consumers away from the product.
