Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), announced today that it will create more than 20.000 jobs and contribute to the growth of the US economy by more than 405 billion dollars in 2018 and the next 5 years. Apple talks about current investments, future investments and what will be created based on the products and services that the American company will launch for its US customers.
Regarding the newly created jobs, the Apple company is mainly considering its partners in the USA, but also the developers of applications for the AppStore. Apple will not hire tens of thousands of people, but those who create products and services for those of Apple will, the American company also increasing its investment fund for production in the USA from 1 to 5 billion dollars.
Apple has so far invested 600 million dollars in Corning and Finisar, two American companies, but it still has 4.4 billion dollars ready for other major investments. Before becoming president of the USA, Donald Trump promised that he would force Apple to produce the iPhone in the USA, but of course this will not happen, but Apple still contributes to the partial fulfillment of what was said.
