This is what the Apple Laboratory looks like where the HomePod was tested

HomePod is the company's first smart speaker Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),, and those from Cupertino used a special laboratory where they tested various prototypes of the speaker before its launch. Until now, Apple has been testing iPhone and iPad speakers in this laboratory before testing the HomePod, and for 6 years, while the speaker was being developed, many audio sessions were held there.

The Apple laboratory where these tests were carried out was soundproof and for echoes, another one was created to measure the sounds emitted by the components on which the smart speaker works. To create the HomePod, the Apple company made its largest team of audio engineers and acoustics experts, and the quality of the sounds played by the speaker is praised by everyone.

However, the HomePod now only has a part of the functions that the smart speaker will offer, the Apple company will soon allow the use of two speakers in tandem for stereo sound. HomePod was designed by Apple to provide the best possible experience for listening to music and more, and that should matter a lot to customers.

"Anechoic chambers are a standard tool for loud speaker development, but it is especially so for a product like HomePod where we were really interested in the directional behavior," said Geaves. "Not only how it sounds in one direction, but all directions. That's a critical component of why HomePod works like it does and enables the system to adapt to the environments the system is placed in."

HomePod is to be officially put on sale by the Apple company starting on February 9, the first units to be delivered then to customers all over the world. Only after February 9 will we find out the real opinion of the people regarding the speaker, but it is unlikely that the reviewers will be so wrong about it.
