Apple will launch several new iPhone models in 2018, and thanks to one of its partners, we also know which of them will have integrated Face ID.

Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), will launch three new models of iPhone in 2018, the American company intends to offer better options for customers looking for a mobile phone, and this also means offering new functions. Unlike in 2017, the Apple company wants in 2018 to launch a iPhone 9, iPhone XS, and an iPhone X Plus, all three models of the American company's phones will have integrated Face ID from the start.

The confirmation of the implementation of Face ID in these three new iPhone models comes from the Apple partner that produces the new TrueDepth camera on the basis of which the facial recognition system works. Finisar is this company, it produces VCSEL modules for the TrueDepth camera, and in the recent conference to present the financial results for Q1 2018, it confirmed that Apple wants to launch multiple iPhone models with Face ID.

iPhone - here are the new models that will have Face ID in 2018

The integration of Face ID in all three new iPhone models that will be launched in 2018 is not such a big surprise, as Apple wants to give customers serious reasons to buy its mobile phones. Of course, Face ID is not a sufficiently convincing reason for many people, some regretting the removal of the Home button with Touch ID, but it was inevitable that facial recognition would be standardized in Apple's iPhone.

"Management's comments around a 2H18 ramp remain positive for Apple's new iPhone launch this fall, where we expect the company to introduce multiple new iPhones and all will incorporate 3D sensing technology. This in-turn confirms that Apple will make augmented reality (AR) a core feature in all new iPhones this fall."

iPhone 9, iPhone XS and iPhone X Plus are to be launched by the Apple company sometime in the autumn of this year, the months of September - November being the most likely when the new phone models will reach the market. Their prices are going to be similar to those of the iPhone 8 and iPhone X series, so we shouldn't expect any increase, unless Apple's greed will become even greater than it has been up to now.
