Apple Watch: Free Repair Program Announced by Apple

Apple has launched a free repair program for the Apple Watch, the American company offering customers the opportunity to repair a serious defect in the watch.

Apple Watch Free Repair Program Apple announces

Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), announced the other days its authorized services in connection with a new free repair program targeting certain models of Watch Apple 2 sold so far. More precisely, those from Apple announced that they will repair free of charge the Apple Watch 2 models that have swollen batteries and cases detached from the screen, the defect seems to be from the component.

Apple will offer free repairs for these Apple Watch models for a maximum period of 3 years after the purchase of the product, so many customers will benefit from the program. Apple's decision applies all over the world and comes after many customers visited its services with such Apple Watch 2 models that had swollen batteries.

Because of a swollen battery, an Apple Watch cannot be charged, and use becomes impossible, or very difficult if the screen is separated from the smart watch case. For now, only the 42mm models of the Apple Watch 2 are repaired free of charge by the Apple company in the authorized services, they also require an inspection before being accepted into the program.

"Apple has determined that under certain conditions, some Apple Watch Series 2 devices may not power on or they may experience an expanded battery. Apple will service eligible devices free of charge. Apple will authorize coverage for eligible devices for three years after the original date of purchase."

Apple usually starts programs of this kind only if it discovers that an unusually large number of products are affected by a manufacturing defect that is the responsibility of the manufacturer. It does not always happen that Apple starts programs of this kind if the number of affected products is not high enough, so here we are talking about a happy case for customers.
