Samsung GALAXY S9: Here's HOW MANY Units Have Been Sold So Far

Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus have the first "sales" figures announced today, and unfortunately for those from Samsung, things are not so great.

Samsung Galaxy S9 and Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus have the first sales figures announced today after the first month of worldwide availability, and the news is not so good for the Korean company. The figures do not come directly from Samsung, but from the Canalys company They do NOT dream of direct phone sales, but unit deliveries to the stores that ordered the Samsung Galaxy S9, so the actual sales are lower.

Samsung Galaxy S9 and Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus would have recorded "sales" of 8 million units in the first month of availability worldwide, i.e. as much as the series Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus. The first information regarding the sales of the Samsung Galaxy S9 series suggested that they would be 30% lower than those of the Samsung Galaxy S8 series, but Canalys has a different opinion, although it does not talk about direct sales.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 and Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus have lower sales than the Samsung Galaxy S7 series in the first month of availability, and this is a problem Samsung will have to contend with in 2018. Despite this, Canalys suggests that that the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus would overtake the Samsung Galaxy S8 series in sales, but it is hard to say whether this will happen or not.

"Samsung shipped just over 8 million of its newly launched flagship devices, the Galaxy S9 and S9+, in the first four weeks after launch. The launch performance of the S9 series closely matched that of the S8 series in April 2017, but failed to surpass the 9 million achieved by the S7 series in March 2016. However, a much greater percentage of shipments were of the plus model when compared with the S8, largely due to the distinct dual cameras of the S9+.”

Samsung Galaxy S9 has not revealed the real sales figures from Samsung, and this is because there is probably nothing important to say about the performance of the phone series so far. To be completely honest, I don't think the Samsung Galaxy S9 series will break any sales records, and if they are as good as the Samsung Galaxy S8, then Samsung will have to enjoy it to the fullest.
