In the image below you can see what it is about, more precisely, Google Maps offering the possibility to replace the blue indicator of an arrow with the icon of a car, which indicates our position on the map during navigation.
Google Maps brings this change after it was implemented in Waze some time ago, where it turned out to be extremely popular, so the Americans decided to offer it to users of the most popular navigation platform. The idea behind the change made for Google Maps is to give us more customization options, the icons allowing us to be displayed on the map with a normal car, an SUV, or even a truck.
Google Maps: NEW Function Taken from Waze
In this change, Google Maps does not have anything major implemented by the Google company, but it is good that from time to time something new is offered for the users who use the application every day. Google Maps is the largest and most useful platform for guided navigation, but Waze offers navigation based on traffic congestion, so it is infinitely more useful.
Google Maps also offers a simple procedure to change the icon that indicates our location on the map, more precisely, you must first enter an address to which you want to be guided by the application. After entering the address and choosing to be routed to it, you just have to click on the blue icon that will show you on the map, and the menu from which you can change it will be displayed, and there you can choose any of the new icons offered by Google Maps.
