gmail has available from today a new extremely interesting function for phones iPhone from all over the world, not Android as well, trying to bring more peace of mind to the users who use this platform. Specifically, the company Google implemented in the Gmail application a new system that uses artificial intelligence to decide which of the received emails to send a notification to the phones, the important ones having priority.
Gmail has launched this function without being revealed beforehand by Google, the company only displaying an alert, like the one in the image below, for people who can activate the function at this moment. Gmail analyzes the emails received by these people to show them notifications only for those that deserve their attention, the rest of the less important notifications being ignored so as not to bother us unnecessarily with them.
Gmail: The NEW function you will use ALL THE TIME
Gmail has this function available exclusively on iPhone phones and iPad tablets for now, in the version for Android not being available for activation, but Google will probably try to expand it. Those from Google have announced that in the next 2 days this notification should be displayed for all Gmail users who use the application for iPhone and iPad, but it can also be activated from the settings menu.
"Notifications are only useful if you have time to read them—and if you're being notified hundreds of times a day, chances are, you don't. That's why we're introducing a feature that alerts you only when important emails land in your Gmail inbox, so you know when your attention is really required. These notifications leverage Gmail's machine learning and artificial intelligence capabilities to identify messages you may want to read first."
Gmail still needs to analyze emails to be able to offer such functionality, so you should be aware of the fact that the information you receive is verified by Google before reaching us. Of course, to a good extent Google already does this with Gmail, so it would matter less if this function is activated or not, because your data is most likely analyzed anyway.
