Google Takes a GREAT Function of the iPhone in Android

Google has decided to take over in the Android operating system a new function that is highly appreciated by iPhone and iPad users all over the world.

Google confirmed last night that he will implement in Android an extremely useful function that the Apple company offers in iPhone and iPad since a few years ago, it has the name AirDrop, and is also available on Mac. Google is currently testing this function in an application called Google Files Go, a simpler version of the original application, which was created especially for areas where access to the Internet is not that easy.

Google allows Android users who have this application to quickly transfer files between devices using 5 GHz Wi-Fi networks, so they benefit from speeds of up to 500 Mbps to copy files between phones and tablets. Google has not implemented this function natively in the Android operating system, but the Files Go application must be used so that users can enjoy it, but the basic functionality is similar to that of AirDrop.

Google offers this function in Android just as Apple offers AirDrop exclusively in its products, so we are not talking about something much different for the platforms, only that in iOS the function is implemented natively in the entire operating system. Google has for some time implemented in its operating system a function called Android Beam, which works somewhat the same, but Samsung has something more useful and better known, the function being available under the name S Beam for users.

Google does not currently allow the use of the functionality in the Files application that it offers to the rest of the world, so it remains to be seen if it will be offered, or if Android Beam will be rethought for all users. Regardless of the situation, offering a function similar to AirDrop is a very good change that Google will make, especially since a lot of users have been waiting for this for a long time.
