YouTube is in the process of developing a series of big changes that users of phone applications will soon see available, these being thought to offer a new user experience. Those from Google quite constantly changes the way the platform application looks for playing video clips, so it has been working for some time on some changes that have started to be tested by users, without knowing what is happening.

The Android application of the YouTube platform has been modified to display in the three main feeds much larger images for the video clips that we are going to see using our phones. You can see in the image below how the change implemented by Google looks like in the main feed, the one for the subscriptions we have to certain channels, but also for the section where we see the most popular video clips.

Compared to the previous way of displaying video clips in the application, those from YouTube now occupy the entire portion of the phone screens with the preview image they display for the video clips. The change seems small, but it changes the way the application interface looks when it is opened on phones, so we are talking about something that a fairly large number of users could appreciate after they have the final change activated in the application.

Google is testing this new design of the YouTube app with an unknown number of people using the app on the Android operating system, but that's usually what happens when changes like this are made. It will be interesting to see how long it will take until the change becomes public for everyone, but also how it will be received by users who are currently using the platform globally.
