Apple director killed by police

An Apple executive in India was killed by a police officer during a pursuit that took place on the streets of the city where the man worked for the American company. We are talking about an Apple sales executive who was returning home with a colleague after attending the launch of the iPhone XS in India, according to the police.

The director of Apple, named Vivek Tiwari, was driving a car on his way home, in which was a colleague of his, when a police officer signaled him to stop, the reason not being revealed. Tiwari refused to stop, and tried to run away from the police, hitting two policemen on a motorcycle, without stopping to be identified by the authorities.

The man was caught from behind by the police, who fired at him while walking, Tiwari losing control of the car and hitting a pole, which caused him various injuries. However, the fatal shot would have been fired from close range by a policeman, Tiwari being shot in the neck, and the policeman was arrested for murder, according to local authorities.

"According to the police, when the constable at Gomtinagar extension signaled Tiwari to stop for checking, he tried to flee. Tiwari sped away and hit a bike rode by two constables, who then chased him and shot him. The constable fired in self-defense, an officer said. The incident happened at around 1.30 am, when Tiwari was heading home after the launch of iPhone X plus along with Sana Khan, his colleague. She said after they were fired at, Tiwari got scared and hit the car against a pillar of an underpass and sustained more injuries."

The police claim that their agent would have fired in legitimate defense, but the family suggests that Tiwari would have been killed, especially since the shot came from a very short distance in relation to his head. It is not known yet why the man didn't stop when the police signaled, nor why he didn't stop after he hit the other two, and that's how a tragedy occurred.
