WhatsApp has been BLOCKED on MILLIONS of Phones

WhatsApp has been blocked on millions of phones around the world, with users surprisingly discovering that they can no longer access the messaging application.

WhatsApp was blocked today on millions of phones around the world, the application from Facebook leaving users without the possibility to access the platform, without any clear explanation regarding the problem. According to those who were affected by this problem, the WhatsApp application for iPhone has an expired certificate for phones running iOS 7, so they could no longer open it to use the messaging platform.

WhatsApp announced several months ago that iPhones still running iOS 7 would be blocked from using the iOS application, but this was supposed to happen only in February 2020. It seems that WhatsApp did not put much emphasis on keeping the platform accessible for these users, so starting today they either have to update to a more recent version of iOS, or they are forced to change their phones, if they are too old.

WhatsApp has not spoken about this problem until now, and most likely it will not, and this is because it will try, more than likely, to find a solution to restore the functional application for people. Of course, this will not be simple because an update should be needed for the WhatsApp application dedicated to these phones, its certificate for the App Store expiring, most likely, and this should be the reason for the unavailability.

In 2020, WhatsApp will also become non-functional for many other mobile phone models globally, with the American company announcing this important change to everyone in advance. Having said that, if you encounter this problem with the WhatsApp application, you will have to wait for an update to be able to use it again, but if the Americans will not do it, then either change the platform or buy a newer phone.
