Today, the mobile phone operator made a very important announcement for customers in Romania, but some of them already knew that this news would come, as it was also confirmed by the authorities. More precisely, Orange officially announced that on December 1, 2018 it will offer free roaming for customersand located in the Republic of Moldova, plus free access to international voice and SMS services between Romania and the Republic of Moldova, but only for one day.

For now, no other operator from Romania has announced that it will offer free roaming between Romania and the Republic of Moldova from December 1, although the Minister of Economy from the old country had announced that this was approved by the operators as well. More than likely we will see announcements from Vodafone, Digi Mobil and Telekom regarding this historic agreement between the two countries, because for 2019 the complete elimination of roaming tariffs for Romania and the Republic of Moldova is being discussed.

Today, SMS messages started to be sent to customers informing them about the elimination of roaming on December 1 between Romania and the Republic of Moldova, the collaboration between the operators and the governments of both countries bringing a great benefit to the citizens. As written in the press release below, everything will be available starting at 00:00 on December 1st, and will end at 23:59, after which everything will return to normal at the operators.
On the occasion of the National Day, Orange offers Romanian citizens the opportunity to communicate more easily with and from the Republic of Moldova. Thus, on December 1, 2018, Orange Romania will offer all its customers free access to voice, SMS and data roaming services between the two countries. Moreover, the free will also apply to international voice and SMS services between Romania and the Republic of Moldova. These benefits will be granted on December 1, 2018, between 00.00:23 and 59:XNUMX, to PrePay and PostPaid customers, for communication between the two countries.
Orange. Being the largest telecommunications operator in Romania, it is possible that most of those who will benefit from this free service are subscribers to the services of this telecom network.
