China ACCUSED by the Trump Administration of STEALING Apple Technologies

apple stole china

China is accused by the Trump administration of having stolen the company's technological secrets Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), over the years, but does not present evidence for this. The Americans claim that the Chinese state would have stolen these technologies to help their local smartphone manufacturers be more competitive, and everything is quite obvious.

The US would have an open investigation to see if the Chinese state really stole technologies from the Apple company, but it is enough to look at Chinese phones to see how much was copied. The big problem here is whether these manufacturers copied Apple's technologies themselves, or whether the Chinese state stole documents and prototypes from the company to facilitate the copying process.

Even the Apple Stores are copied by companies from China, and the state does absolutely nothing to close them, so it is easy to draw a line between the accusations and their veracity. Every year many products are copied by Chinese manufacturers and sold without any repercussions in the country, but this is the first time that the state is accused of stealing the technologies of a company to help its local manufacturers.

I don't want to spoil too much here, but Apple technology may have been picked off by China and now China is becoming very competitive with Apple. You've got to have rule of law. There are some indications from China that they're looking at that, but we don't know that yet. There is no enforcement; there's nothing concrete.

Apple has not commented in any way on the statements of the US presidential administration, and most likely will not do so, and this is because it has no reason to "quarrel" with the Chinese government at the moment. Of course, the statements do not help the situation in China, where they have to remove certain iPhone models from sale, but they still refuse to do it.
