WhatsApp. The largest messaging platform is not immune to problems at the beginning of 2019, and this is because we are again talking about something that affects a very large number of users, and it cannot really be stopped. More precisely, a new round of the phishing attack centered on WhatsApp Gold has been launched, with the aim of tricking users into accessing a link intended to infect their phones with malware through WhatsApp.
WhatsApp. This big hoax is designed to trick users into thinking they will have access to an exclusive version of the application, called WhatsApp Gold, but in reality everything is designed only to infect phones with malware. Below you can see the message that is received by WhatsApp users who are the target of this attack, being informed that they can install that special version of the app by accessing the link sent with the message.
WhatsApp. BEWARE of this new SERIOUS PROBLEM
WhatsApp. The attacks centered on this "Gold" version of the application have existed since 2016, and are frequently repeated with certain pauses, in order to deceive as many users as possible. Unfortunately, the world is naive, and I think that it can access a special version of the application through a simple link, so it chooses to enter almost any websites, and to install almost anything on its own phones, without knowing how bad it is they actually do it alone through these actions.
WhatsApp. The distribution of malware through messages sent through the platform by users is something that happens quite frequently, and this is because people share almost any kind of things, without thinking about the harm they do. Unfortunately, you have to protect yourself from problems like this, whether it's WhatsApp or another application, so be careful and don't access any kind of links from the platform.
