Android Q. The HUGE PROBLEM It Will Solve

Android Q. A very important problem of the operating system will be solved by Google in the new major update prepared for its customers.

Android Q clipboard

Android Q. The new version of Google's operating system is still in full development, and this means that we are constantly learning new information about the prepared novelties. Now we are talking about something that will solve a very big problem of Android Q, which no one knows about, more precisely, the fact that the applications installed in the phones can access without any restrictions any kind of information copied by us in the system clipboard.

Android Q. The clipboard is that function that allows us to copy any kind of texts, pictures, etc., to transfer them from one application to another, and unfortunately the applications can access the data at any time, without us knowing, or asking them to stay. Android Q will solve this problem by implementing some limitations regarding the possibility to access the information from that clipboard, the news being a very good one, because it brings more security for users.

Android Q finally brings limitations for accessing information from the clipboard

Android Q. Limitations are important, because they prevent applications that should not have access to information such as passwords, usernames, bank account numbers, etc., from accessing that information without us knowing. Yes, including this type of information goes through the Android clipboard if we copy it from somewhere to send it elsewhere, and Android Q will make sure that all data is kept safe until we decide that it can be accessed by anyone applications.

A new permission has been added called "READ_CLIPBOARD_IN_BACKGROUND" that sounds like it'll do exactly what it says: limit what apps can read the clipboard in the background. The protection level of this permission is "signature," meaning only apps signed by the OEM can be granted this permission.

Android Q. For now, Google has not announced anything at all about this very important change, but it will most likely do so when it officially presents the new operating system to users. Based on what we have seen in recent years, Android Q is going to be released in public beta version by the Google company sometime in May of this year, and the final version should be offered only in August.
