The European Commission Applies a HUGE FINE to the Google Company

Google has a new very large fine applied by the European Commission, here is what European officials think the American company did wrong now.

European Commission HUGE FINE Google

Google today received a fine of 1.7 billion dollars from the European Commission, it was expected for several months, and finally it ended up being imposed against those from Mountain View. The fine of the European Commission has in mind the apparently non-competitive practices that Google applied to keep the Adsense advertising network at an advantage over its competitors, and the Europeans did not really like this tactic.

Google is the third large fine from the European Commission, in addition to receiving one of 5 billion dollars because of the way in which it would have imposed certain practices considered non-competitive on Android phone manufacturers. The European Commission applied this fine because of the way Google behaved in the last 10 years in the online advertising market, which is the biggest revenue generator for the American company.

Google has now reached total fines of almost 10 billion dollars received from the European Commission, the first two of which have already been challenged, but none of them have remained final, or had their value changed. Google is "put on the wall" by the European Commission due to the fact that in Google Search it does not display ads from other advertising agencies, but considering that it is its search engine, it has no reason to be forced to do so .

Google was sanctioned with a fine of 3 billion dollars in 2017 due to the fact that in the Google Search search engine it would have had more advantageous positions for its own services for comparing the prices of products sold online, compared to other third parties. Google does not have a definitive decision regarding that fine, following the appeal, but it is unlikely that it will escape without actually paying any money to the European Commission, even if the amount will be much lower than the one requested.

Google it doesn't really do anything different compared to other American or European companies, the only difference is that it is much bigger, therefore more visible, and an easier target to hit.
