This time we are talking about discounts for the iPhone XR phones sold in India by those from Apple, the prices of these models being reduced by 25% from the moment of launch until now, including those applied during this week by the Americans.
The iPhone XR is sold at prices $250 lower than when it was launched in India, and now ends up costing only slightly more than the price applied in the US, including the additional 9% taxes. Compared to Europe, the iPhone XR costs 100 dollars less in India, and this shows us how much the Apple company places on this country, where the vast majority of the population is much poorer than the one in Europe, so it doesn't allow phones anyway.
Apple Reduces iPhone Prices AGAIN
Apple says that this price reduction is temporary, but in reality we are talking about a more permanent promotion aimed at increasing sales in the country, which are much lower than the Americans would like. Apple launched the iPhone XR in India at the price of 1000 dollars hoping that there will be people interested in buying its products, but of course this did not happen, but the Americans did not really care, at least until the beginning of this year.
The price of the 64 GB iPhone XR has been reduced by at least 17,900 rupees ($259) due to a price cut and a credit card cashback campaign, two people with direct knowledge of the matter told Reuters on Thursday. On Apple's India website, the price of the 64 GB iPhone XR was unchanged at 76,900 rupees, but is on sale for less than 59,000 rupees at stores, the people said.
iPhone XR is currently the cheapest of the models launched last fall, for iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max discounts are applied only in China, but much lower than those in India. Apple is trying to find ways to keep its phone sales at a relatively high level, but so far it hasn't had much success from this point of view, and it's possible that it won't, so it could announce financial results like disappointing.
