Samsung GALAXY FOLD. The first units for review were offered the other day by the Samsung company for the American press, and unfortunately, along with them came the very big problems that the products have. Unfortunately, the American journalists who received units for review had extremely serious problems with the Samsung GALAXY FOLD phones even after the first day of use, the flexible screens being completely destroyed, without them ever escaping their hands.

At least three journalists from three different publications have problems with the screens, in the case of two of the units they seem to be identical, while in another the hinge is the problem. The image above comes from a journalist who claims that either the Samsung GALAXY FOLD has a broken hinge, or something got under it, the pressure applied to the screen creating a bulge, so that the screen then breaks, and displays those stripes all over its surface.

The second journalist with a broken screen claims that she removed a protective case from the phone, which should not have been removed, and it is possible that the screen was destroyed by her, which is not very normal. When people see foils on phones, and they don't want them, it is possible to peel them off, and if in the case of the Samsung GALAXY FOLD this destroys the screen, then Samsung will have a lot of units to replace because of this problem.

Samsung GALAXY FOLD. The third journalist only said that the screen was broken after a day of use, without saying whether he used it wrongly or not, but it is probably not about such a case. The fourth journalist claims that the Samsung GALAXY FOLD phone was used without having the foil removed from the screen, and without being hit or scratched, but even so, it looks as you can see in the short video clip below.

Samsung GALAXY FOLD. Yes, these are series review units, but they look like prototypes that weren't supposed to roll off the production line, not $2000 phones. The Samsung GALAXY FOLD sold very well in the pre-order session open in the US, but in light of all these problems, I have a vague impression that some people could give up the purchase without too much regret, avoiding huge problems.
