Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), revealed this week the financial results for Q1 2019, avoiding to mention how many iPhones it sold, and this gave rise to a lot of speculation. The various companies specialized in monitoring the smartphone markets around the world have started to publish their estimates regarding Apple's sales, and the news is diverse.
Apple had announced sales of 38 million iPhones by those from IDC, or Canalys, but IHS claims that in fact the Americans had a slightly better evolution. More precisely, they estimate that Apple would have sold 43.8 million iPhones in Q1 2019, only 8.4 million fewer than in Q1 2018.

Apple has different estimates regarding smartphone sales globally, but those from Huawei have been estimated by all analysis agencies to have roughly the same figures. The situation is quite interesting, but since Huawei does not reveal details regarding the sales of its phones, we are left with only speculations and nothing more.
Apple is currently struggling to increase iPhone sales worldwide, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to be able to return to previous values. For now, analysts remain optimistic about Apple, but if iPhone sales continue to decline, then problems will not stop appearing on the stock market.
