WhatsApp. In the week in which we learned that, unfortunately, ads will conquer Facebook's messaging application, we also learned that a new function has been implemented for iOS and Android phones around the world. We're talking about a function that for the time being was found in the beta version for Android of the WhatsApp application, but more than likely it also exists in the iPhone, or it will more than likely be offered in a final version released in the future.
WhatsApp. More precisely, the messaging application is going to offer us the possibility to quickly add contacts to our address book using a QR code, and you can see below what the interface that is going to allow this looks like. Users can create QR codes that allow their information to be shared with other devices, even if those QR codes are shared by other people, and of course there is the option to disable them, to stop anyone from sharing our information.
WhatsApp. NEW function for iOS, Android Phones
WhatsApp. QR codes must be scanned using the scanner already integrated in the messaging application, it has had one for a very long time to allow logging into WhatsApp Web, and now everything is also used for contacts. The idea itself is very good because it simplifies the distribution of contact information between people, even between those who are not directly friends on WhatsApp, so in the end everyone wins from this system.
WhatsApp. This is just one of the functions that is being developed to be distributed by the American company, and this is because there are many others that its engineers are working on. Even if this functionality for the WhatsApp application was not implemented natively in iOS, it is very certain that it will be available, so if you wanted to have it offered for some time, you will have it soon.
WhatsApp. Apart from this function, other much more important ones will be available, including a dark mode that the platform has been distributing for some time.
