Google Maps. An update with a very important function was released by the Google company for users around the world, and here we are talking about a change for both iPhone and Android. More precisely, we are talking about an update for Google Maps that brings the possibility for phones to discover much more easily what is around us using the section Explore implemented in the application for online maps of the Americans.
Google Maps. In the image below you can see the change implemented for the Google application, by the American company, adding a second row with categories of locations that we can discover. You can see that Google Maps helps people to more easily discover locations from several categories of objectives near them, and this simplifies the search process, but shortens it substantially at the same time.

Google Maps. By displaying the two rows of icons with categories of locations that we can explore, the application no longer displays preview images with the types of locations that we can discover. The change is an interesting one, and it remains to be seen how many people will appreciate the new way in which locations can be discovered through the section Explore, and that's because many people got used to the previous way of using the application.
Google Maps. Apart from the format in which the icons are displayed in two rows for accessing the categories of locations, there is a second design that Google is testing. More precisely, you can see in the second image that Google Maps can also list all the icons in one row to display preview images for the types of locations we can visit, both formats being approximately equally useful.
Google Maps. The change for the online map application is being propagated worldwide at the moment, so if you can't see it in Romania yet, you'll have to be a little more patient.
