Google REFUSES to Make these Products

Google tablets

Google announced today that it will stop producing tablets, canceling two products that were in the development process for release during 2019. Last year Google released the Pixel Slate, a tablet that apparently didn't have that much success, so that in 2019 it gives up this product segment completely.

Google will continue to produce PixelBooks, but tablets are no longer part of its plans, and the employees who worked on these products will end up in other projects. Google announced its employees on Wednesday about these plans, and it was expected that this would happen, since the tablet market is dominated by Apple, the rest having small sales.

Google it has not revealed until now what sales it has recorded for its tablets, and most likely it will not, but the figures are more than likely very small. Google will continue to offer updates for the Pixel Slate until 2024, but customers can already reorient themselves to tablets from competing manufacturers.

"A Google spokesperson directly confirmed all of these details to me. The news was revealed at an internal company meeting on Wednesday, and Google is currently working to reassign employees who were focused on the abandoned projects onto other areas. Many of them, I'm told, have already shifted over to the laptop side of that same self-made hardware division."
