FaceApp is a Russian application, and in order to modify the pictures, it uploads them to Russian servers, which is not clearly explained to everyone, but who cares, because people who use applications like this don't bother data protection.
FaceApp. The application uploads on Android all the pictures from the library to the Russian servers, according to some people, while on iOS it doesn't work quite the same, but the pictures subject to modification are sent to the Russians anyway. The problem is that apart from the pictures, the Russians also get information about the user names, identification information of the phones, FaceApp also taking information about internet browsing, which has nothing to do with the modification of the pictures.
