iPhone 12 will be launched with a new type of flexible OLED screen

iPhone 12 has announced today a new surprise innovation from the Apple company, more precisely the implementation of a Flexible OLED screen by the Americans for customers who are willing to buy the future phone model. We already knew for some time that LG is working on the development of OLED screens for future Apple phones, but I don't think anyone can imagine that the iPhone 12 will have a flexible screen, but this is what the Americans are testing.

Those from LG invest massively in factories to produce OLED screens as well, while they have been selling LCD screens to those from Cupertino for several years, but they have fallen behind with the investments for the new technology. There were even discussions to deliver OLED screens for the iPhone 11, but it seems that LG will have the production ready only for the iPhone 12, so until then Apple will have to be content only with what Samsung offers.

OLED screens now produced by LG are used to repair the broken ones in the iPhone X and iPhone XS phones sold globally, but it seems that things will evolve in a completely different direction. Apple has wanted for a long time to have an alternative to Samsung for the screens used in iPhone phones, and now it seems to have reached the point where it has found what it needs, also from a rival Korean company.

“LG Display has set the tone for the Paju E6 factory as it has finally been approved by Apple to supply flexible OLED displays for the iPhone. According to internal sources, LG Display will supply flexible OLED screens for some models of Apple phone models in 2020. It also raises the possibility of supplying small quantities for models released in the second half of this year."

The iPhone 12 was announced the other day for release with a screen whose refresh rate would be 60Hz - 120Hz, so LG is working harder to bring this functionality to Apple products. Based on what we know now, the phones from the iPhone 12 series will be launched for users in the fall of 2020, the presentation will more than likely take place in September, and the launch also then.
