UBER. A new function was launched by the company for customers in Romania, starting today everyone can travel more safely thanks to the change that is being implemented. More precisely, the new function implemented by those from UBER helps travelers not to get into the wrong car, the American company saying that this can become a safety problem, which is as real as it can be.
UBER. Anyway, the application displays information about the car that is going to pick up the passenger, with its registration number and model, so whoever is careful should get into the right car. To help distracted people not to get into other cars, UBER implemented a function in the application that sends a new notification, before the car arrives, with information about the registration number, its model, and the driver's photo.
Check My Ride helps you travel safely with UBER
UBER. The application now displays a banner in the upper part of the interface reminding travelers to carefully check the car they are about to get into, so as not to get into the wrong one. The function implemented by UBER has the name Check my Ride, and it will be released to everyone in the next few days, so you won't see it starting today if you update the app to the latest version available.
"We want the Check my ride functionality to become synonymous with Uber. This new notification will remind people to complete the three steps every time they get into an Uber. It's a visual reminder of the importance we place on both safety and how technology can make travel safer than ever."
UBER. Apart from these, travelers are recommended to ask the drivers to confirm their name, to be sure that the person behind the wheel is the one registered in the application, an extremely important element to keep in mind. The function itself seems to me to be a very good one, considering that at one point I went through a similar episode in which another person got into the car ordered by me, but not with UBER, but with Bolt.
