WhatsApp. The most popular messaging application on the planet also has a function that a lot of people have been waiting for for some time, but which is left to wait, for reasons that are currently unknown. I'm referring here to the well-known dark mode, which has been implemented in many applications until now, and which for now is far from being implemented in a final version and in WhatsApp, based on what we know.
WhatsApp. The application's interface has implemented a dark mode at a fairly rudimentary level, which means that some interfaces are changed, others are not, and the pictures and video clips do not appear as they should for now. Moreover, some sections of WhatsApp have not fully implemented the color change, so certain elements appear quite strange, so there is still some work to be done in preparing this change.

WhatsApp. The dark mode has been in the works for over half a year at the American company, but it is possible that the implementation of advertisements within the application, something that Facebook has wanted to do for a long time, may be a higher priority. It is possible that a good part of the dozens of engineers at WhatsApp will be asked to do this implementation instead of a dark mode, although people do not want advertising materials, but a dark interface in the application.
WhatsApp. The dark mode could come much later than we imagine now, maybe not even in 2019, since the ads are scheduled to be implemented only somewhere around the beginning of 2020. It is unlikely that WhatsApp will implement a dark mode before the ads, and I think they could do both at the same time, to force people to upgrade and benefit from the major interface change in the app.
