Google Launches a Popular iPhone Function on Android

Google announced that it has launched a new function for Android phones that is already very popular on iPhone phones, because Apple has been offering it for a very long time for customers all over the world. More precisely, Google has implemented in Chrome for Android the possibility of using the fingerprint reader, or the facial recognition system, to log in to various online services that it currently offers.

Google announced that all phones with Android 7, or a newer version, will be able to log in to websites without writing any password, but only using the device's biometric authentication system. The novelty brought by Chrome lies in the fact that the functionality is available for websites, for now only those of Google, but this was not offered until now on Android by the American company.

In the case of the iPhone, any password saved in the phone is filled in automatically, along with the username, for logging into websites using Safari, and Google offers exactly the same thing now on Android. The American company has already implemented the functionality in Chrome, but it is being extended to all phones these days, and Google wants to ease the process of logging into its services, but also to help people forget to write passwords.

Google currently only offers the possibility to log in to passwords.google.com for people to test the system on Android as well, and it will be extended to other own services as well. You can see in the animated image above how the system is thought, but also how well it works, everything being implemented to be as easy to use as in the case of the iPhone, and Google deserves praise for this.

Google brings this functionality to Chrome quite late, but it's good that it finally manages to offer it for users of its operating system, but also of online services.
