Huawei is preparing for a very HARD HIT in Romania as well

Huawei is preparing for a very hard blow in Romania as well, this is why the situation of the Chinese, including in our country, will soon become complicated.

Huawei ban Romania

Huawei has recently suffered quite a few blows from the USA, but also from other European countries, and not only that, and things could continue in the same trend, unfortunately for the company. Now things are coming to Romania as well, where President Klaus Iohannis announced that he intends to find out, with the help of CSAT, if Huawei is a risk for the country's national security, and probably has already requested an investigation.

Huawei is targeted by a memorandum signed between the USA and Romania through the presidents of each, which talks about the need for our country to get rid of telecommunications equipment that represents a risk. Those of Huawei passed in this category by the USA, so implicitly Romania should also look at them in this way, so theoretically there would be a ban on their use for telecommunications operators in the country.

Huawei was also attacked by the US ambassador to the European Union shortly after the signing of that memorandum, being on a visit to Romania, he brought security issues back into discussion. Considering that the US has enough soldiers in some military bases in Romania, and Trump said that US partners must get rid of Huawei equipment if they want its support, it is expected that things will go in this direction here as well.

Huawei has sold its telecommunications equipment to many mobile phone operators in our country, and has contracts including for the supply of equipment for the future 5G networks in our country. Huawei has already delivered some equipment for the 5G networks already active at some operators, and for those that will be active at others, but if through CSAT they will be asked to ban them, then they could be taken out of operation by the companies.

Huawei might still have to wait until the results of the CSAT investigation could be published, so things will not go in a downward direction right away.
