Samsung GALAXY S11 is going to have a new camera implemented that will offer a special optical zoom, and much improved compared to what exists for the current phones in the Galaxy Note S10 and Note 10 series. It seems that the Samsung GALAXY S11 will have an optical zoom of up to 5X for the customers who will buy it, and this means that it will equal the Huawei phones that have something similar, but thought to be a little more advanced.
Samsung GALAXY S11 will be based on an optical zoom of up to 5X, like the Huawei phones from the P30 and Mate 30 series, only it will not be combined with a digital one to reach a hybrid zoom of up to 10X. It is not known what exactly the Samsung GALAXY S11 will have for the camera that will make this new optical zoom special, but we are probably still talking about a combination between an optical zoom and a digital one, in order to "see" at greater distances.

Of course, there is no additional information for this disclosure for the Samsung GALAXY S11, and this should not be surprising, because in general, substantial details are missing from these leaks.

The Samsung GALAXY S11 needed a much better camera for next year's release, and that's because it's completely surpassed by Huawei phones, so Samsung is changing things on the fly. The 5X optical zoom system implemented for the Samsung GALAXY S11 is most likely the one used in the Oppo Reno series phones, launched this year, they use the cameras created by a company recently bought by Samsung.
The Samsung GALAXY S11 is now rumored to have a possible release date of February 18th, and it is very possible that it will appear then, but sales should start sometime in November.
