WhatsApp is the target of a new hack through which all the messages that users have sent through the application can be accessed by people of bad credit without the victim knowing what is happening. We are talking about a hack that can be done very easily, by simply sending a GIF type image to the victim's phone, users only having to access that image via WhatsApp and the hack is automatically done.
WhatsApp can only have this hack done on phones with the Android operating system, and that's because there the security is much weaker than in the case of Apple's iPhone phones. Hackers who exploit this vulnerability in Android phones with WhatsApp must make a special GIF image in order to have access to users' conversations, but also to other files in the phones, including images received by people.
WhatsApp: new and very DANGEROUS HACK for Phones
WhatsApp has an extremely big problem in this hack, and this is because simply viewing a GIF type image automatically triggers this hack, without the need for it to be opened. GIF images are animated images, which start running the animation from the moment they are visible in a conversation, so the user does not even have to interact with them in any way to be infected by this hack.
WhatsApp was recently updated to protect users against this hack, so all those who have the latest version of the application are safe, and cannot have their conversations or other files stolen. Those who have older versions of the WhatsApp application are still vulnerable to this hack, and they cannot protect themselves against those who send them messages of this kind unless they completely disable the reception of multimedia content.
