ING: Apple Pay could be used for ATM WITHDRAWALS

ING could soon allow money withdrawals from ATMs in Romania using Apple Pay, this is what the bank announced for all its customers.

ING Apple Pay WITHDRAWALS ATM Money

ING seems to be preparing something very interesting for Romania, something that Banca Transilvania has launched for its customers, the ability to withdraw money from the ATM using Apple Pay. In an information sent this week to customers, ING said "You will soon be able to withdraw money from ING ATMs without a card", which leads me to believe that Apple Pay, and possibly ING Pay, will allow withdrawals from ATMs without a card.

ING has been offering Apple Pay in Romania since spring, and ING Pay has been around for a long time, so the idea of allowing cash withdrawals from ATMs with these services would be beneficial for many customers. I asked the people from ING about their plan, they didn't answer me, maybe because they don't want to reveal the plans from now on, but maybe this is the big surprise from the announcement made in the message sent to customers in Romania.

ING: Apple Pay could be used for ATM WITHDRAWALS

ING does not mention in the email sent to customers when it intends to allow withdrawals with Apple Pay from ATMs, if that is what it is about, but also when it will offer the other changes. If ING really allows withdrawals with Apple Pay from ATMs, it would be one of the two banks that really offers customers the latest technologies, even when it comes to money management.

ING was in the first wave of the launch of Apple Pay in Romania, but when it came to expanding the service it did not do so, Banca Transilvania allowing sending money via iMessage, plus withdrawing money with Apple Pay. ING can still quickly catch up with Banca Transilvania, and it can get ahead of them if it would also offer Apple Pay Cash in Romania, but for now no announcement has been made in this regard.
