Orange has PROBLEMS before completing the Telekom PURCHASE

Orange has serious problems before completing the purchase of Telekom, here is the announcement made today by the Romanian telecommunications operator regarding them.

Orange PROBLEMS Complete the Telekom PURCHASE

Orange has problems before completing the purchase of Telekom in Romania, the telecommunications operator going through a rather difficult period, but not all the news is really that bad. According to the information provided today by Orange, in Romania the operator recorded revenues of 9 million euros in the first 2019 months of 812, 2.8% lower than those recorded in the same period last year, although the number of customers increased.

Orange recorded revenues of 3 million euros in Q2019 279, 4% higher than Q3 2019, but the company attributed the decrease in total revenues from the first 9 months of 2019 to the reduction of equipment sales in Romania. Orange finished Q3 2019 with 10.9 million customers, up 0.3% compared to Q3 2018, but the number of mobile service customers decreased by approximately 130.000, a good part of them most likely going to Digi Mobil.

Orange still registered an increase of 71.000 customers on the fixed services side, reaching 312.000, in the segment of television services the number of customers increased to 532.000, 12% higher than in Q3 2018. On the Internet services side, those from Orange registered a 28% increase in the number of clients, reaching 333.000 clients, the number of Orange Money users also increasing by 32% in just one year.

"On September 30, 2019, Orange Romania offered mobile, landline and TV services to 10.928.000 customers, up by 0,3% compared to the end of Q3 2018. Interest in landline services is constant, in this segment maintaining the evolution positive from previous quarters. Thus, at the end of September, the cable and satellite television service, Orange Home TV, had 532.700 customers, up 12% compared to Q3 2018, and fixed broadband services had 332.900 customers, up 28% compared to the same period in 2018."

Orange registers a fluctuating evolution, with decreasing revenues, but increases for the number of customers in certain segments, except for the one for mobile services, which is quite surprising for the operator. If things continue at this pace, then by the end of the year, those from Orange will register a decrease of several tens of millions of euros in income, despite the fact that the prices of some subscriptions have increased.

Orange modified the offer of subscriptions after the adoption of GEO 114/2018, increasing their prices, and now forcing customers with cheap subscriptions to switch to more expensive ones, but without these measures, the losses would have been much higher.
