Telekom amazes Romania with an incredible announcement before the sale to Orange, a transaction that will take place in the coming months, but for now no one knows exactly when, unfortunately. However, Telekom announced that in Q3 2019 it recorded revenues of 243 million euros, up by no less than 7.3% compared to the same period last year, which is an incredible achievement, and this will count in the sale to Orange .
Telekom, which has a BLACK FRIDAY 2019 discount in this page, also states that the company's profitability is continuously increasing compared to the same period last year, mentioning that the measures taken to reduce costs and make the activity more efficient are beginning to bear fruit. Those from Telekom are looking to generate as much income and profit as possible during this period in order to obtain a very good price for the assets they have in Romania, the sale to Orange having already been approved by the companies.
Telekom AMAZING, INCREDIBLE Announcement Before the Sale to Orange
At the end of September 2019, Telekom had 2.1 million customers of fixed telephony services, and 1.35 million customers for fixed television services, both customer bases being in decline compared to Q3 2018. Telekom also recorded a decrease in the number of customers of fixed internet services, reaching 1.07 million customers, but it has more customers of fixed-mobile services, 833.000, and generates more money from all segments.
Telekom registered an increase in revenues from mobile telephony services, although the number of customers decreased by 9% to 4.2 million customers, the company losing several hundred thousand customers every fiscal quarter for about 2 years now. On the mobile telephony side, those from Telekom are constantly losing customers in Romania, and this despite the new offers they keep making for Romanians, but it seems that more is needed than that.
Telekom is preparing to leave Romania, the sale to Orange only needing the approval of the local and European authorities, and that won't last that long, so everything will be completed as quickly as possible.
