iOS 14: BIG CHANGES made by Apple to AVOID iOS 13 Issues

iOS 14 has a very large series of changes that are meant to bring a final version without the big problems that iOS 13 has now.

iOS 14 is already in full testing process at the Apple company, and those from Cupertino are trying to make it clear that they learned something from the failure of the iOS 13 launch, so they are making very big changes in the development process for the iPhone. Craig Federighi, the man who oversees the development of iOS 14, has imposed a series of changes for the development process of the operating system so that the launch is done without the problems of 2019.

iOS 14 had these measures announced by Apple managers in a meeting that took place at the company's headquarters with some of the engineers working on the development of future versions of the operating system for iDevices. The first change imposed for iOS 14 is the deactivation in the beta versions offered for developers, but also in the public ones, of the functions that are not completed, apparently these produce a good part of the existing problems.

iOS 14 is developed differently to not have the problems of iOS 13

iOS 14 should no longer have, like iOS 13, numerous functions added by different engineers in the daily versions tested by employees, all of which are gathered in builds without being tested, or ready to be used. Due to the large number of unfinished functions, the builds tested by employees worked extremely poorly, without them knowing clearly where the problems were coming from, but with iOS 14 this will change, and only ready-to-use functions will be offered.

“Prior to iOS 14 development, some teams would add features every day that weren't fully tested, while other teams would contribute changes weekly. Test software became so crowded with changes at various stages of development that the devices often became difficult to use. Because of this, some "testers would go days without a habitable build, so they wouldn't really have a handle on what's working and what's not working," the person said. This defeated the primary objective of the testing process, as Apple engineers struggled to verify how the operating system reacts to many of the new features, leading to some iOS 13 issues.”

iOS 14 is currently being developed under the code name "Azul", and some of the features that were thought to be released with it have already been postponed for a later update, which is code named "Azul +1". Basically, Apple is changing its iOS development process again because iOS 13 has so many problems that they can't even be solved anymore, but the people at Apple are struggling to bring things back to normal with iOS 14, although this is very difficult.

iOS 14 will be released in beta version in June 2020, but until then we will definitely find out some of the important news that it will bring for everyone.
