Huawei: BAN Requested in a BIG New European Country

Huawei has the requested ban in a new and large European country, this is how serious the problems have become for the Chinese company at this moment.

Huawei it simply doesn't get out of trouble no matter how much it tries to avoid the situations in which the USA got it into during 2019, but a new big European country demands the banning of the Chinese company's products. Italy is the country where it was requested that Huawei be banned from supplying 5G equipment for future mobile networks in the country, which raises new very big problems.

Huawei is now targeted with new sanctions in Italy after a parliamentary commission requested the ban of its equipment in the country, and as you probably already guessed, the problem is with their security. Separately from Huawei, those from ZTE are also targeted with the ban for supplying 5G equipment to mobile operators in Italy, some of them being at this moment in the process of choosing the suppliers with whom they will collaborate for the networks.

Huawei: BAN Requested in a BIG New European Country

Huawei has not had any problems in Italy so far, but it seems that the government is under pressure from within the country to ban its 5G equipment, not just from outside the country. This means that there will be an investigation to see if there really are risks to letting Huawei supply 5G equipment to local mobile operators, or if this can be allowed without any ban in 2020.

Chinese telecoms company Huawei should be allowed a role in Italy's future 5G network, Italy's industry minister said on Sunday, after an influential parliamentary committee called on Rome to block the company. Last week, Italy's parliamentary security committee, Copasir, said the government should consider barring Huawei and ZTE from participating in the development of 5G networks.

For now, Huawei has this problem announced only at the declarative level by the authorities, they are not currently decided to impose a ban on the company, which is still good news. Although the parliamentary committee for security in the Italian Parliament calls for Huawei to be banned, the industry minister claims that this should not happen, so there will definitely be serious debates before a decision is made.

Huawei has not really managed to convince the governments in Europe that it is not a danger for their national security, and 2020 begins with a state of uncertainty, including regarding the 5G networks in Romania.
