Facebook FINALLY BANNED something that SHOULD HAVE DISAPPEARED A LONG TIME AGO

Facebook deepfakes

Facebook finally made the decision to ban something that was supposed to disappear from his social network for a long time because of the problems it generates for everyone.

Facebook has finally decided to ban the publication of deepfake videos within the social network, i.e. those videos in which the face, or head, of a person is superimposed on the face/head and body of another person.

To the same extent, video clips in which a person's face is digitally manipulated so that the movements of that person's mouth fit a falsified sound background, suggesting that that person is saying something that they did not actually say, are also prohibited.

Artificial intelligence is used to create videos of this kind, and Facebook will use its own systems to detect those videos that are made in such a way as to mislead the world.

However, Facebook has not made a complete decision, because those video clips that are parodies are not prohibited, and in many of them reality is falsified, but in a way that deceives even ordinary people.

Facebook made the change only because the US authorities want to ban the publication of deepfake materials on websites, especially because the US presidential elections are approaching, and Donald Trump is a favorite target of this type of content.
