UBER: The BAD change that will make you GIVE UP on the App

UBER will make a very bad change for the ridesharing application that will finally convince you to give it up for transportation around town.

UBER fares

UBER it might make one of the worst changes to the messaging app yet, and it might convince you to ditch the app entirely for use once it's released. In California, the American company is testing with some of the UBER drivers a new system that allows them to set their own prices for the trips they make every day instead of accepting the standard price set by the platform.

UBER it allows drivers to set prices up to 5 times higher than the normal ones that customers pay for the rides they make, and this will undoubtedly lead to an increase in transport prices. The UBER drivers who are part of this experiment can increase the prices of the rides in steps of 10% until they reach 500% of the standard value for the respective course, so the drivers will also "bid" against each other for the rides.

UBER is currently testing the system with those who make trips to the airports of three American cities, i.e. people who do not really have a choice regarding the means of transport. The purpose of the test is to see how many people give up UBER services after the drivers increase the prices so much that people return to regular taxis because they end up paying less, including the tip they have to leave.

"Uber Technologies Inc. is testing a new feature that gives some California drivers the ability to set their rates. Starting Tuesday morning, drivers transporting passengers from Santa Barbara, Palm Springs and Sacramento airports can charge up to five times Uber's set fare for the trip."

UBER is making this change in California because of a law change that forces it to hire ride-hailing drivers, or to change its system so that they can continue to work as a partnership. The change that UBER is making in California will have to be introduced without discussion everywhere in the US, otherwise the drivers will revolt and stop driving, but beyond this country, it is hard to say when it could reach Romania.

UBER initially won many customers in Romania thanks to competitive prices, disciplined drivers and good cars, but now there are too many undisciplined drivers, the vast majority of cars are very old, and the prices are no longer competitive.
