The European Union wants to make a BIG CHANGE in the iPhone

The European Union wants to make a big change for iPhone phones, and European parliamentarians have voted in favor of imposing it as soon as possible.

European Union iphone

The European Union wants to make a very big change for the iPhones we use in everyday life, and this despite the opposition of the Apple company regarding the implementation of these changes. I already told you last week about the initiative of the European Union to oblige all mobile phone manufacturers to use the same standard for the charging/data transfer ports of the phones, probably USB-C.

The European Union, through the European Parliament, adopted a resolution asking the European Commission to implement the wishes of the parliamentarians, and this despite Apple complaining that this would affect innovation, ie lies. 582 parliamentarians from the European Parliament voted for the adoption of a law that would oblige phone manufacturers to stop making fun of us with stupid standards, and the European Union will be a big headache for Apple.

The European Union will get rid of large amounts of cables and chargers thrown in the trash by people, although those from Apple said exactly the opposite, European parliamentarians being convinced of this. Considering that the resolution was adopted with such a large number of votes, the European Commission will have no choice but to implement it, although this has been tried for a decade, but maybe now things will change.

"The Commission, without hindering innovation, should ensure that the legislative framework for a common charger will be periodically reviewed to take account of technical progress; reiterates the importance of research and innovation in this area to improve existing technologies and come with us.”

The European Parliament also demands that the attention of the European Commission is not directed only to cable chargers, but also to wireless chargers, which are currently quite rare. The parliamentarians want the same standard to be used for these in the European Union, and the phones should not be limited to use wireless chargers from only certain manufacturers, which, however, has not happened so far, and probably will not happen either.

How long it will take until the European Commission will be able to implement this resolution voted in the European Parliament is not yet known, but it is very good that the "foot on the threshold" has finally been put.
