The Romanian Post Coronavirus

The Romanian Post has today announced important changes to the operating hours of its post offices due to the Coronavirus, all after the government imposed the protection of the employees of the Romanian institutions, but also of the rest of the citizens.

"The Romanian Post National Company, in collaboration with the competent authorities in the field of emergency situations, will implement a package of measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19, necessary to protect customers and employees in the current epidemiological context.

In order to shorten the waiting time at post offices, the company recommends all customers to access the MyAWB online service, available on the Romanian Post website, which will allow them to quickly complete the necessary forms, by electronic means (phone, tablet, laptop, etc.).

In this way, customers can present themselves at post offices with previously pre-filled forms that they can access from the address www.posta-romana.ro, the 'Fill in forms' section, from where they can also print receipt confirmations and postal orders.

Moreover, the Romanian Post appeals to customers to use the bank card payment method, as often as possible, in post offices equipped with POS to avoid handling banknotes.

All postal subunits are or will be equipped with soap, hand and surface disinfectants, masks and gloves, the necessary stocks will be refreshed periodically, and the employees will be trained by the directors of the County Post Offices on how to use them and the application of measures to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

The hand sanitizer will also be made available to the company's customers, in all post offices, and the work surfaces will be sanitized with surface disinfectant, once every 2 hours or as needed", is the company's announcement. Also, in addition to masks and gloves, those who distribute referrals and social benefits to beneficiaries in home isolation will also have protective glasses, and there will be alcohol-based hand sanitizer in the distribution machine.

Moreover, postal workers will keep a distance of 2 meters from isolated people and will not enter their home. Information on the company's operating mode can also be obtained through the call center at the phone number 021.9393, but also at the address www.posta-romana.ro."
